Until this project I keept struggeling with texturing my objects and I was searching for a suitable solution. I wasn't capable of creating realistic texutres. One day, I was looking through Steam sale and noticed that "Substance Indie Pack" was 50% off. Since in my local Blender forum some really nice texturing works were made with Substande Painter by Allegorithmic, I decided to buy it instead of a game and wanted to start a new project.
As a result I created a high poly sniper rifle which should be exported into CryEngine. It was my frist object which was textured in Substance Painter. The rifle contains about 20000 vertices which is in my oppinon to much even for newer game engines, but the main goal was to use this model for retopologizing.
